How we check

Every fact on a listing comes from the business's own website or an official register, and links to where we found it.

What we record

• Profession
• Register
• Taking new clients
• Visits the yard

If a business doesn't publish something, we say it isn't checked yet. We never guess, and we don't fill gaps with what's typical for the trade.

Where businesses are

We group businesses by council area: Wiltshire, Swindon, Somerset, Bath and North East Somerset, and North Somerset. Firms based elsewhere are listed only when their own website says they cover this region.

What we don't do

• We don't publish home addresses or the names of staff.
• We don't give star ratings.
• Businesses can't pay to change what we've checked or where they appear in the list.

Something wrong?

Tell us and we'll check again. Businesses can also claim their listing.
